Our customized approach allows members to build individual training schedules by choosing from a variety of course selections for each session. All of the training courses are facilitated by our specialized coaching team. Members can also choose to attend social events and seminars associated with the club. Seminars include goal setting, nutrition, sport psychology and more.

A non-refundable annual membership fee of $250 will provide you with the benefits associated with the club. This fee will entitle you to the following:

  • Exclusive registration to Triathlon Club courses
  • Talisman Centre Triathlon Club uniform
  • Workshop seminars & clinics
  • Club socials & team events
  • Talisman Centre facility membership

Triathlon Club members are required to register for two or more courses per session to activate their membership. Triathletes can re-customize their training schedules by registering for courses every session. Monthly payment plans are available for course registration fees.

Talisman Centre Triathlon Club: The Right Training Fit For Me?


The Talisman Centre Triathlon Club is a great way to prepare for your first or fiftieth triathlon event. But before you sign up please answer the following questions yourself to help you determine if the Club is the right training option for you:

  1. What event(s) are you training towards?
  2. Are there any specific goals you are striving for?
  3. How proficient are you in swimming? Cycling? Running?
  4. What are your weaknesses in triathlon?
  5. Have you ever completed a triathlon before?
  6. What are you looking to gain from the club?
  7. Do the times and training sessions offered match your training availability?
  8. Are you an independent-minded person looking to train when you have the time to do so or do you want to train with others?
  9. Are you looking for more personalized and/or customized coaching that maximizes your training time?
  10. Are you committed to achieving your goals?


If you determine for yourself that the Club is the right fit for you then awesome! Here are a few tips to consider when selecting your training sessions and as you prepare for your goal event(s):

  1. Build your "personal" training sessions around tri club sessions.
  2. Select Club training sessions to be your "key" workouts AND look for areas of weakness to be addressed under the watchful eye of our coaches.
  3. Know your intensity zones to train efficiently as well as RPE.
  4. Set a weekly time goal to consistently achieve and stick to it but be adaptable.
  5. Vary your training depending upon the time of the season and in proximity to your goal event.
  6. Aerobic conditioning is a priority for the season but this doesn't mean always train "slow".
  7. The 6-8 weeks before goal event, specialize your training to meet the event demands.
  8. Understand your event – look at the details and integrate them in your program. (Sprint, Olympic, Half-IM, IM).
  9. Ensure you take rest/recovery days and weeks throughout.
  10. Track your training using a training log and record progress and personal feeling of sessions – note anything of interest to yourself that could be repeated later.
  11. Challenge and push yourself during key sessions for improvement.
  12. There is lots of experience in the club so use it.
  13. There is no "secret" recipe for training – just hard work.
  14. Establish goals and commit to them and re-visit them frequently to keep on track, especially on those cold early mornings.
  15. Feed yourself properly for training sessions AND recovery from training.
  16. Learn to listen to and read your body and make sound decisions based on "intuition".
