Childcare at Talisman Centre

Do you need childcare for an hour or two while you work out? Do you appreciate childcare that focuses on active learning, participation, social development, and fun? Talisman Centre has got you covered, with exceptional, professional childcare experts ensuring that your child is learning and having fun while doing it. Our energetic team keeps your child active with games, toys, books, crafts, and creative play spaces. (We appreciate you bringing diapers, wipes and a bottle for your baby as well as a nut-free snack and a drink for your child.)

Drop-in childcare is offered for up to three hours – 2 hours for children aged 3 months to a year, and 3 hours for children aged one year and older. Booking ahead is recommended. Drop-in spaces are available every day on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can call a week ahead to book your space (403) 355-1273. (All children under 3 years old must do a preliminary 20 minute visit, for which there is a small fee.)

Note: Cancellations must be called in by 8:30am on the day of your visit, or a one-hour fee will be added to your next appointment.

Mon - Fri: 8:45am - 3:00pm
Mon & Wed evenings: 5:00pm - 8:00pm (Sept. - June)
Sat - Sun: 10:00am - 2:00pm (Sundays available Sept. - June)
*Closed on stat holidays

Two options for exceptional service:

1. Book ahead: for the Monday to Friday 8:45-11:30am, and Saturday 10am - 11:30pm timeslots. Guarantee a spot in childcare – call ahead! If your child is between three months and three years, please call one week in advance to reserve childcare.

2. Drop-in: Drop-in spaces will be available every day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please Note: The Preschool for Active Living program is not available from July 2009 to September 2011 due to our Facility Enhancement Project.

Refund Policy: Refunds are issued for medical reasons (with a doctor's letter), relocation out of town and cancellation due to low registration. A $20 administration fee is applied to refunds requested by the participants. Refunds will not be issued if a registrant withdraws less than 5 working days before a program starts. Cancellations must be called in by 8:30am on the day of your visit, or a one-hour fee will be added to your next appointment.

Due to our Facility Enhancement Project coming up in 2010, we are unable to offer preschool this fall. However, from September 14th to November 27th, for those parents who want an alternative, we are pleased to offer Snack, Craft & Play!
